A 17th century Quaker tract. An allegory of Pilgrims Progress believed to be written by Stephen Crisp (1628-1692), who had been a traveling minister and responsible for the spread of the Society of Friends into the Netherlands. Written to point out the differences between Bunyan's outward faith of rituals compared to the inward, renewal-of-heart Quaker faith, using a similar fictional account of a journey. Fondly remembered as a small blue hardback, now a pamphlet.
