About Us![]() From left to right: Former staff: Laird Holby, Eric Evans & Lucy Duncan. CURRENT STAFF: Jerimy Pedersen (Full time) & Graham Garner (Part time) , and Simon Garner (Lucy & Graham's son)QuakerBooks of FGC provides literature and other resources for Friends and Friends’ meetings throughout North America and the world. We provide most of our literature via mail order, but also via book tables to yearly and monthly meetings and through the Gathering Store at FGC’s annual Gathering of Friends. The core of QuakerBooks of FGC is to provide resources that help Friends communicate where we’ve come from, who we are and the living questions that exist among us. The staff of QuakerBooks feels grateful to be able to help provide these letters from our past and invitations to our future in the books and pamphlets that we offer. We hope that you find much on our website and in our catalogs to help you or your meeting to thrive and grow. We are open Monday to Thursday from 10:00 AM-4:30 PM EST. We are open for walk-in business and we’d be happy if you visited us when you’re in the Philadelphia area. But visitors should be aware that we are set up as mail order operation—our books are not beautifully displayed, we have no comfy couches and we work at a brisk pace to keep up with the orders we receive. We also very occasionally close the office for staff retreats and certain other Meetings. If you’d like our full attention when you are here, it is best to make an appointment. By Mail: By Phone: On the Web: By Email: “Quakers read books. QuakerBooks of FGC has discerned that their calling is to meet this need with fast, effficient, friendly service. … They are great.” Roger Dreisbach-Williams, Rahway-Plainfield Meeting (NJ)
George & Elizabeth Watson, Minneapolis Monthly Meeting (MN) QuakerBooks of FGC is a service of Friends General Conference, an organization of affiliated yearly and monthly meetings within the unprogrammed tradition. FGC is a living body of Quakers that seeks to nurture and support the Religious Society of Friends. FGC’s goal is a contemporary Quakerism filled with vibrant Friends meetings that make the presence of God real to Friends and seekers. We help Friends to take that experience into the world as a witness to the power of divine love in human affairs. We nurture Quakerism by nurturing individuals, meetings and the Religious Society of Friends as a whole. Friends General Conferences nurtures Quakers, Quaker meetings, and seekers through many programs and services. Learn more about FGC. |
