QuakerBooks:

“Poetic and pure, Bess Klassen-Landis’ prolific song writing springs from the deep well within us all, painting pictures of life’s joys and sorrows, trials and triumphs!”
--Peggy Heath Ogilvy of the Heath Sisters

“Wow!! I love it!!! I’ll definitely walk a few inches off the ground today having heard it.”
--Judith Pettingill

What a beautiful achievement is the talent, love and perseverance that went into making Beauty So Close. Bess has a lovely ability to create unusual and complex melodies that have coherence, jazziness, and beauty. Her songs, written from life’s experience, have universal appeal. Heartache and loss combined with a loving spirit give Bess a powerful voice.
--Melissa Post

Windsor, VT resident, Bess Klassen-Landis’ CD, Beauty So Close, is a lyrical look at her life. Her songs describe experiences such as living through the Palm Sunday Tornado, which took her family's home, and devastated much of northern Indiana. However, the music and the lyrics are full of hope. Klassen-Landis' collection of songs are in the folk tradition, with a variety that is not often found on one album. The CD was arranged and produced by Pete Sutherland of Monkton, VT and recorded by Colin McCaffrey from East Montpelier, VT.
--Windsor Downtown
