Brief Description:
It was the perfect summer. That is, until Jeremy Ross moved into the house down the street and became neighborhood enemy number one. Luckily Dad had a surefire way to get rid of enemies: Enemy Pie. But part of the secret recipe is spending an entire day playing with the enemy! Kathy Beckwith:

ENEMY PIE is one of my all time favorite picture books. It is very funny, all the way through, and is delightfully true to kids' experiences with friends and "enemies." Besides sparking ideas for young readers to think about, it gives us big kids some thoughts about how we might nurture optimistic children. I have a nephew who comes for a visit every summer, and one of our traditions now is to re-read the book together and bake an Enemy Pie. Our local peace group liked the story so much we bought copies (in both English and Spanish) and donated them to the local public and school libraries. Don't miss it!
