Hannah Lightfoot, a Quaker girl, through her clandestine marriage to George Prince of Wales, became his Queen when he became King George III. She was the mother of three unacknowledged children by George, but was spirited away when he lost interest in her. In 1866, many years after their deaths, their relationship became the focus of a notorious London court case.
