Brief Description:
A statement of the Quaker belief in inclusiveness, SEYM takes into consideration the total range of couplings, consideration for children, concern for step-children, first and consecutive marriages, same-sex and different-sex unions, separations and divorce. SEYM was the first yearly meeting affiliated with FUM (2006) to be so inclusive. FGC Friends have applauded this section, as have some American Conservative Friends. SEYM feels blessed to have a wealth of experience that includes the vibrancy of new Friends and the wisdom of old Friends from the FGC, Conservative and FUM traditions.
