Ripening Of Quaker Worship

Ripening Of Quaker Worship

Ripening Of Quaker Worship

BY DAVID BILLS

Brief Description:
David Bills points out in this 1998 pamphlet that "We are about to enter the fifth century during which Quaker worship has taken place." Bills traces the basic evolution of Friends over the century, discussing their origins and developments in styles of worship and places of worship and attitudes toward evangelical ministry. Bills's speech also comes with an imperative, though: He urges Friends toward more and better worship, and encourages them to focus on the unique practices and beliefs that set them apart from the "generic Protestant" mainstream.
