About the Video, from the Producers:
Rufus Jones (1863-1948) was the co-founder of the American Friends Service Committee, which has won the Nobel Peace Prize. This 40 mminute video documents the life of an eminent historian of Quaker spiritual life who also taught philosophy at Haverford College, in Pennsylvania.
His life so greatly inspired Frederic G. Corneel (1922-2001), a prominent Boston Quaker and tax attorney, that he decided to underwrite a documentary about Jones’ life and work. Through Haverford College he sought other Quakers who would share his passion and commitment to the project.
The production was written and produced by Sharon Mullally and Barabara Attie and has aired on WHYY in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
