Brief Description:
Written for those studying, or contemplating studying, the "Experiment with Light". It has chapters on the message of George Fox, the origins of the Quaker movement, the experiences of some Light Groups, answers to questions and difficulties that these groups have found. There are also chapters linking the practice to worship, prayer, discernment, and political action. The psychology of "Focusing", also possible future developments of the practice are discussed. It details several different versions of the practice that have been developed. Contributors come from Britain, New Zealand, Sweden and different Quaker traditions within the USA.
