eBooks from QuakerPress of FGC.
We are just beginning to sell our publications in an eBook format, and would be grateful for any feedback you have on the process, appearance and ease of use of these books.
Unlike many other stores we cannot give you an instant link to download the book. We will send a time limited link early on the next business day after you place the order, which is when we will also charge your credit card.
If for some reason you lose the file, or the device its living on, in the future contact us and we can send you another download link. It would be helpful if you can safely store your order confirmation email so as to give us the order number. We do not use Digital Rights management to limit the use of the file, but do ask you not to distribute it to anyone else,
At the moment we have to “name” our files with a long number beginning 11-99- and suggest once it is downloaded you quickly rename it by its title so you can find it easily in future.
Regarding the formats we have chosen.
PDF’s are best for Curricula, the mobi format is the one to get if you have a Kindle- once downloaded onto a PC it can be uploaded to your Kindle by linking it to that PC. Mobipocket is owned by Amazon, so this should be easy.
ePub is favored by readers like the “Nook” and Sony, it can also be read on the free downloadable http://calibre-ebook.com/ on your PC.
